Can you open your heart and home to one of them?

Bunny Babies
Baby Bunnies
Bunny Babies - These adorable babies were born to a mama who was rescued before she could be shot and killed for escaping from her fenced in yard. They have just been weaned, and are available for adoption. Anyone adopting them must agree to keep them indoors and get them spayed or neutered once they are old enough. Please contact us for more information if interested.

Pepper & Bridget - are looking for a new home since their dad took a new job and is gone for weeks at a time. Bridget is the beautiful silver-gray mini-lop, and being a typical lop, is nosy and always wanting to know everything that is going on. There isn't much she isn't curious about and she is very playful. Pepper is a dwarf Dutch bunny, so named because his fur looks like the gourmet, multi-colored peppercorns - he is also curious and active, and very devoted to Bridget. Together they are a beautiful pair, and so much fun to have around - they run and play but also spend lots of quiet time side by side grooming each other. They are both around three years old and have excellent litterbox habits.

Lola - "What Lola wants, Lola does not always get" - to paraphrase that old song. Lola was raised in an outdoor hutch with her bossy older sister. The two fought a lot, and when they chewed up their hutch in frustration, they were turned loose outside. Once in rescue, and spayed, Lola became much calmer, loved the indoor life, and thought she had found her forever home. She was living happily in the living room until family issues and moving brought her back to rescue and once again she is looking for her forever family. We've noticed that when Lola is out for her exercise she always wants to hang around the male rabbits, so we are going to make sure that her next home has a friend for her as we really think this is what would make her happiest. She is a very sweet, gentle rabbit, with beautiful brown eyes - so all you male rabbits out there looking for a friend - please call Lola!

Blueberry - is a 6 pound, white, lop-eared rabbit with, you guessed it - dark blue eyes. This handsome boy was found outside by the Wildlife Center near Morehead City, NC - he is too thin, but we are working to change that with lots of hay and green salads, which he loves. He is very friendly and active, taking every opportunity to show off his dancing skills, as well as his enjoyment of petting and ear rubs. He is excellent with his litterbox and will make a wonderful companion rabbit.

Frosty was one of two rabbits who happened to wander into the right yard one cold day before Christmas last year - he was rescued but his friend was never found. Frosty is a breed known as a Florida White - a medium-sized white rabbit with pink eyes noted for their excellent disposition, and Mr. Frosty is no exception. He would make an great bunny for a first time rabbit household as he is playful, yet laid-back, and really loves attention from people of all ages. He especially loves his plastic cat toys, and if you miss dinner hour by a little bit, he will remind you by throwing all his toys into his food bowl! His fur is soft and snow white - if you start to pet him he will immediately flatten himself to the floor to show you how much he enjoys it. He will also happily join you on the couch to hang out and watch TV. Anyone meeting Frosty cannot help but fall in love with his winning personality.

George & Babs are once again looking for a home. They have been the unluckiest pair ever - this time they found out they do not get along well with young, energetic dogs. Last time, a grown human adult moved them out of their bedroom - is there anyone out there who can give this wonderful pair their forever home? George, the brown lop-eared bunny is about 3 years old, and extremely friendly and laid-back - he even tries to play with the vacuum! He just loves digging in his cardboard box, and taking naps completely flopped on his side. Babs, formerly Miss Babcock is a black Rex rabbit with a beautiful coat of the softest velvet. She is about 4 years old, and so sweet and gentle - a little bit more shy than George, she does warm up to people and will definitely come running if you have treats for her! She takes them from you ever so daintily, just like a lady. They are litterbox trained and lots of fun to interact with or just sit and watch.

Lani is a cute little gray Holland Lop who had an especially rough beginning to her young life and is in need of a quiet, stress-free home in order to remain healthy. She is an active, well-behaved little girl who loves to be free in the home, but generally stays near her pen, and any sources of food. Eating happens to be her favorite activity - any action in the kitchen is sure to bring her running. When she eats her green salads she gets so excited she flips each piece in the air before she devours it. She is spayed and litterbox trained, and likes to be around people, but does not like to be picked up. We think she would love to have a bunny friend, as when she is loose she chooses to lay next to our male bunnies when they are napping. Lani is partially deaf, which does not affect her at all, and also has some episodes of sneezing, which require antibiotics on occasion.

Abby would like everyone to know that she is definitely a HOUSE RABBIT - which by her standards means that she lives loose in the house. We still recommend a pen for those times when no one is home or with her, but she really could live free run in the house as she is a very well-behaved, outgoing little girl. Perhaps her desire to be free has something to do with her past - she was rescued about a year ago from the UNCW campus where she was found standing next to her dead friend who had been killed by dogs. The kind couple who took her in had her spayed, but worked a lot so she spent the majority of her days and nights in a 2' x 2' cage, which, for a friendly, active rabbit, must have been torture. We promised her - no more cages, and she gets lots of exercise time, most of which she spends hopping around the room, getting pets or trying to visit the other bunnies. We think she would love a friend, or an active household which she could be a part of.

Gracie is a beautiful, 7 pound, black lop-eared rabbit who has not had an easy time of it her first three years. Her first owner returned her to the pet store after several years because they were moving, and her second owner was not prepared for bunny ownership and ended up keeping her in a birdcage where she could not even move! When she was rescued she had no food or water in her cage and was frantic. She has been spayed and has been in foster care for about 8 months, where she has made wonderful progress - she still has her moments - for example, she thumps continuously during thunderstorms as they must scare her, and she gets frantic if her food bowl is empty. She does love being out running and playing, and especially jumping - she loves being high and will often land on the couch beside her foster parents. She is well-behaved when she is out and does not dig and chew. Gracie would do best in an adults-only home. She is currently being fostered in Raleigh.
